I like this idea. The only issue I have is the condition of the car sold.
Using Hemmings (?) 1-5 category seems simple enough, if folks are honest.

Hey folks,
This may be an unrealistic idea, but considering the network of enthusiasts
we have here it occurs to me that this might be helpful (if enough people
would contribute).
The concept would be to start tracking the price, condition, and location of
Corvairs that members have bought, sold, or witnessed the sale of. The
purpose would be to give us a little bit better idea of what the market is
doing, how much to ask when we are selling, and what is a good bargain when
we are shopping. I also think that under some circumstances we might be
able to use the list to knock a seller down to reality when their price is
too high on a car we'd like to purchase.
Currently the only "sold" data available on Corvairs is that on ebay which
reflects the results of only that type of sale technique and marketing.
Any thoughts? It really wouldn't be difficult for folks to post the basic
info here, just a couple minutes of typing.... and it would be easy for
anyone to use the archive to retrieve the data or grab the data as it comes
through and keep a list. The only trick would be getting enough people to
participate to provide a sufficient number of data points to be useful.
