Trey, in the operation of Corvair choke systems, humidity and dew point
have no influence. Only "sensible" temperature is a factor. Sensible
temperature is what can be measured by a thermometer. The bi-metal choke coil cares
not about, nor can it react to, relative humidity or dew point. Ambient
conditions are those conditions surrounding a specific apparatus (i.e.: air
entering an AC condenser). In the case of temperature, ambient temperature
is the actual temperature of the air entering a condenser, engine, or is the
temperature of the air surrounding a temperature sensing device.
