<VV> trans/diff seperation

I am getting ready to disassemble my diff to replace the snout I broke. I
perused the shop manual and for seperation it states "remove the 4 bolts". I
have done that and it is still together. There is a slight gap and slight
movement but they still seem firmly attached. Before I break something else
I want to ask experienced hands if there is anything else holding them
together.
