<VV> Advice on Heat/Defrost

Hello All,
 
I will begin restoring/reassembling the interior of my '64 Monza Vert. within 
the next few weeks. During the disassembly I removed all the heater/defroster 
hoses because they were falling apart and the lever mechanism because it was so 
badly rusted it was unworkable. The car is not stock in the slightest: replaced 
drivetrain by PO with heavy-duty clutch/flywheel done by me; dual MC, 
alternator, and other upgrades done by me, with some body customizations, too, 
(nothing radical) etc. My question now is: since I hope to sell this car to 
someone wanting a showpiece model and not to be used as a daily driver by either 
myself or a new owner, how important is it that I replace all that heater stuff? 
Imperative? Recommended? Don't bother?
