<VV> radial tires & pressure

I applaud you purists out there who seek perfection in restoring your Vairs as close to Factory as possible, BUT, I consider pressure recommendations from the manufacturer to be a guideline , not an absolute. Tire science has come a long way since the ,"Bias-ply" days. I am no expert but I know what makes the car drive good. "Tire Patch" is the best thing to go by. A 6" long patch x the width of the tire [flat to the roadway], then let the tires do their work. ADD a set of KB shocks and the will almost turn itself. JR nailed it pretty good. I have run as low as 16 psi in the front and 38 - 40 psi in the rear to get the "Patch" I want [ w/ 14" set-up {15" is different}].

I typically use 32 rear and 24 (sometimes 22) front on the car. I generally
have 70 to 90 pounds of "stuff" in the trunk.
