any motor that i have encountered with enough cam wear to show up in  
running , you could just about see the rocker arm not moving as much as the rest  
of them.  just went thru this on a "ran last year" motor i got running  
again before tearing it down.  watching rockers with motor running showed  one 
not moving as much as rest , without measuring it...that cam will now be a  
hard luck trophy someday.
this is not the first time i have seen this.now if you want to split hairs  
, get out your gauges...i have pictures of measurements of each of lobes on 
a  new cam ( maybe 20 hours total time on it or less) that failed (we all 
think)  due to hardness problems.
