Thanks for all of the suggestions.  I'll try them all tomorrow and then 
either fix it or replace it.  I should have left it alone, I drove it on 
occasion for two or three years with a sheet metal screw in the hole. <BG>

I am in the process of deciding whether to clean the 61 up and paint it, 
or go all the way.  SInce I'm also working on a TOTAL 1929 Ford Model A 
restoration and have a 1962 Corvair convert waiting in the barn  I might 
just do the easier job.  It only has 48,000 miles on it and runs good, 
that way I will have a Corvair to drive while I go the long route with 
the 62.
