<VV> [fastvair] front crossmember mounting [2 Attachments]

I'd guess a PO had messed with the factory mount holes for reason known only to
them. When I install a cross member, I usually go to to snuggle it into position
easily and start with the back (short) bolts first and then the front one, the
middle ones seem to just go into the nuts with no effort.

Two holes on crossmember middle bolts (attatchment #1) , two holes on frame rail
front bolt, both are sleeved so bolt tension does not crush rail, photo with
crossmember installed in rear hole (att. #2) Go Packers

Heck, it looks just like any other front cross member to me. Three holes on each
side. I can't fathom just what you see that I don't. Perhaps a better
explanation or close up picture would help. 2 dr, 4 dr, conv are all the same.
I've swapped so many over the past decades I don't even bother trying to see
what car they were out of.

Four door, at least on the late model, is the same as the two door.
I count only three holes on the chassis side. Sorry no help. My cars are late
models.

Can anyone tell me why there is two bolt holes on the frame rail for the front
crossmember bolt and then two holes on the member for the second bolt? I changed
a frame sector driver side, under floor and up to the third bolt bracket during
my rotisserie restoration and now nothing works. I also did not mark the bolt
position on removal. the frame sector may had been from a 4 door, is that an
oops?

Thanks
