A few of our members have been using a material that was originally utilized by the audiophile crowd, especially in the high dollar auto sound systems. It is called Rattletrap Extreme. They were quite pleased with both the sound deadening and in the case of the Corv8 application even the heat barrier. Several sites have it at various pricing and widths/lengths of material...just google it for a wide variety of it and its competitors....
