<VV> corvair oil cooler/cabin heater?

     A friend and I were chatting and got to discussing the possibility of
creating a Corvair engine oil cooler system that would double as a heater
core for cabin heat (either to supplement or replace the direct air
heater).  It seems like it would be easy to design something like this and
we were even wondering why GM didn't go this direction with Corvair heater
systems.

     Anyone have any input on this or just want to discuss the possibility?

 Been tried dozens of times by newbies....  never worked...


  Technically... not enough BTU's  via heat rejection through the oil..
