<VV> Electric fuel pump wiring

Larry,
When you install an electric fuel pump, it's a good idea to install a
cut-off in the event of a crash. In my case, I have two safety switches,
one an impact switch and the other a oil pressure switch. To solve the
priming problem, I power the pump through a relay. The pump is connected to
the common contact on the relay. The normally open contact gets 12V via the
ignition switch. The starter solenoid connects to the normally closed
contact. The relay is energized by the normally open contacts on the oil
pressure switch. The relay only energizes when the engine is running and
there is oil pressure. When you are cranking a long sleeping car with dry
carbs, the pump gets power from the starter solenoid while the engine
cranks. Example, I drove my Corsa today for the first time in a couple of
months. After about ten seconds of cranking, it fired right up...No sweat.
You will need to change the oil pressure to one with three contacts like one
from a Vega.

In the event the carbs "dry out", how do you prime them. I store my car for
several months and I always have to prime. The diagram I sent shows a
priming circuit

BTW, I am new to the forum and not sure why I do not see the diagrams I
sent. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, Larry
