Yes, I’ve lived in san Diego most of my life, and I can remember smog days that burned my eyes. Much of the smog came from Mexico, which can’t be fixed, but a lot was of our own making.  As I fly through the Imperial Valley east, there is a wall of smoke coming up along the border on the Mexican side, and none on the American side...ample proof that our smog policies are functional and not just bureaucratic nonsense.
