There is a company in the US that makes conversions that puts current style power window motors on 
stock style mechanisms that mount inside the doors so nothing shows in the passenger compartment.

I've spoken to them a couple of times but not about conversions for Corvairs.

I saw an article once showing a conversion using the 60s style motors on stock mechanisms.
I think the old motors are much larger.
