Try turning the lock while using some downward force on the non-attached
end. Chances are pretty good that it will act a bit like a wrench and
unscrew that round "lug nut" that it is attached to. You can then leave the
rest of the car at home when you go to the locksmith. <GRIN> I consider
those locks to be mainly decorative.
