<VV> Electrical gremlins with '63 vert

When I had a '65 convertible in the body shop years ago, the  owner wrapped 
painter's masking tape around all the connectors prior to  sandblasting, 
finishing and painting the car.  He had an unhappy helper  (his son) get on 
his back to do the dash connectors.  Said he had learned  the hard way to 
protect the electrical connections all of his projects.
