<VV> internally regulated alternator source/price?

Hello all,

     I just picked up my 2nd early model Corvair... a dirt cheap 62' Monza
coupe in need of some work.  Once again I've got an early with a broken
generator mount.  Last year I got one (complete with a good alternator!) for
nearly nothing at the Detroit Homecoming but won't be able to attend this
year sadly due to finances.

     I'm considering doing an alternator conversion on one of the early cars
if nobody has a really really cheap bracket for me, so the next question is
what alternator to buy and where to buy it from?  I'm looking to do this as
cheaply as possible.

     I'm pretty sure I've got the stuff to mount the alternator... if I can
get it off my badly corroded/rusted parts engine.
