Hi Guys,
First I want to thank those of you that were able to take a minute and
offer advice on removing the fan motor. It's very much appreciated.
A bit of history.. I was trying to track down the failure in my backup
lights when, in looking in the manual, I noticed that fan and backup
light circuit(s) were
both serviced by the same fuse. Checking the fuse showed it to be
blown. Replacing the fuse did not fix the BU lights and that's another
story, but when I turned on the
heater fan, the fuse blew out again with rather spectacular results.
Think 4th of July..Ok, I'm guessing the fan motor is frozen or otherwise
toasted, hence my question about it's removal.
I'll get the car back up on jacks after this weekend and see what's up.
I am curious about one thing though. How does the dash switch for the
blower work to get three speeds? I've been over the diagrams and
I guess I am missing something obvious! I want to check it's circuit
so, if there is any damage from the shorted motor, I can order the parts
for that at the same time!
Kerry
