In this months Communique Steve Goodman had a fine article about Fretting 
corrosion and electrical connections . Fretting corrosion also caused 
problems when shipping autos long distance by rail, they would tie the bodies down 
tight in the rail cars and then they noticed balljoints did not last long. 
They discovered it was due to Fretting corrosion. They tied down the lower 
suspension and let them bounce at will ( Problem Solved )
