<VV> speed on public highways

Sounds enticing - I may get to try it out this summer, as Trevor is going from here (Northern Virginia) to Phoenix to go to ASU.  One of his friends may do the trip with him, but if not it looks like I'm going.  I may be looking for places to stay in mid-August :-)
