Per request, I am forwarding this message I received from Eve Ellis, Marks
widow, concerning the current status of the 1969 Registry.
I will contact Eve and arrange to get a copy of the file.
I have been in and out of town a lot lately (business meetings), and just
went through a major change in ISP, so as soon as I get a block of time at
home I can start working with those of you who have volunteered to try to
start getting all this data together.
As for where this should be hosted, well dang it all, it should already be
up and running on the new and improved Stock Corvair Website, but after our
original site was accidentally deleted, our webmaster, Marissa Andolino, got
tied up with life (work, family, health, etc.) and has not been able to find
the time to rebuild it. Therefore, much as I would like it to be on the SCG
site, since that doesnt exist, I am open to any solution that works.
Thanks
Bill Hubbell

Bill, Hi ! I saw your post on Virtual Vairs regarding the 1969 Corvair
Database that Mark started several years ago. I still maintain this ( tho
not as well as I should have lately, due to it being stored in an Excel file
on an older pc which currently isn't hooked up ) I still get e-mails from
folks on an almost weekly basis with 'new' '69s that folks are finding via
corvair69 at earthlink.net Mark was always amazed at how many undiscovered
'69s were still out there ! I need to upgrade my currrent pc to the latest
version of Windows and then copy / transfer the 69 files to it. We also kept
individual folders on each car with options, etc...
I recently moved from VA to NC for a new job and all of Mark's files
are in storage ( try going from a 4 bdrm house to a 1 bdrm apt ! ) We only
made the 1969 database info available to folks in the 1969 Club ( status
unknown at this time... I'm afraid without Mark's leadership the club will
ultimately disband ) We have ~1500 '69s in the database along with the
owners' addresses, Vin #'s and detailed info about each car. Whenever we
e-mailed / or sent a hard copy we never included this info - just the Vin #
& State of residence. We felt any other info was too personal and should not
be sent out indiscriminately over the Web. If there was a way to put this in
a secure website with copy protection - I'd be willing to send you this
info.
Take care and if you could post this to VV I'd appreciate it ! Eve Ellis
