What's missing in all the replies and suggestions so far is a PLAN.

Plans have been suggested in the past ... but, not many implemented by the BoD. Every good plan needs a champion!

Pete Koehler, at the beginning of the year, had a plan. He identified
shows and events, established a schedule, plotted the routes, contacted
the individual event organizers, and made a season-long PLAN.

A Champion with a plan; AND willing / able to take the time. This was not a project for just anyone; Pete K is a champion that has more than earned his status with the BoD ... and their co-operation and support was essential.

Simply waiting for local clubs or individuals to decide that they want a
CORSA canopy or promotional materials or CPF artifacts will do nothing
except replicate the past ten years' history of the canopy being one
place when it is wanted somewhere else.
Shuttling the canopy from Jacksonville to Cedar Rapids to Denver does
NOTHING! CORSA displays and promotion, and CPF displays and promotion,
need to be in front front of potential NEW members and donors, not
existing ones!
This year, Pete set up at the Charlotte AutoFair, a VCCA event, an AACA
event, and the Hemmings Concours, among others. Smart and effective!
--Bob Marlow

Smart, YES, but effective? It would be good to know how effective ... was anything special [earmarked application / special web address etc.] done to determine how many new members were recruited? Tracking any good plan is requited to justify further financial investment.

For 2011, where should a similar display be taken? Y'know that 100th
anniversary event in Flint that had certain people worked up over the
date conflict with the Denver convention? Sound to me like a place a
display should be set up. AACA Fall Hershey (2011) is another.
Others? Let's hear suggestions!
As for the suggestion of outfitting a small trailer, I think that this
is a logical extension of Pete's MuseumBrier plan, which quickly outgrew
the Greenbrier itself. Instead of toting a Corvair around, source a
local Corvair to show at each venue and move the merchandise and
displays in a trailer specifically outfitted to carry them efficiently
and safely.

Trailer? For sure ... but not just any old trailer ... a pop-up, light weight and equip it with surge brakes [register in a state where they are legal] so it __could__ be pulled by a Corvair or any other vehicle without requiring anything more than hooking up the lights. Provide a leveling system with a really good dolly wheel and modify the hubs to use Corvair wheels. Modify it to quickly open with most of the display already in place. It would require an appointee or BoD member to schedule its use and recruit volunteers to transport and set it up.

Plan the itinerary for the next year in the current year,
and line up the volunteers who can move the trailer between events.
Perhaps, one year mostly in the East (as Pete's tour was this year), one
year in the West, and one year in the middle. Rotate.

Rotting the location to coincide with Conventions would give the BoD a good opportunity to maintain and improve the contents on display. Another serious problem with any trailer is finding it a home when not in service. In this case it would probably necessary to have local chapters keep it between uses and a BoD member to track its location.

Keep the focus on the CPF, but also promote CORSA. Offer merchandise
that benefits each.
Pete has shown us that it can be done. We now need to demonstrate that
we are at least as smart as he is.
--Bob Marlow

That will probably be the most difficult job of all.
