>re-looking (again for the nth time) at 100% membership vs
the insurance and benefit filing fee for nonCORSA members (per chapter or
per non member ); and other bigger cost reduction items -- Some day in the
future CORSA will need to rely more on volunteers like we did in the early
days (70s early 80s).

Back when I first got into Corvairs (1991) I joined the Corvair Club of Cincinati (a really great bunch of guys).
Dues were $10/year for CORSA members, & $15 for non-CORSA members... I had a 1 year old daughter at the time, so I opted for the
non-member dues... the next year my second daughter was born... so I finally joined CORSA around '93 or '94... been a small lapse
a time or two, but I plan on being around for quite a while.
I don't know what the CCC did with the extra $5, and didn't ever ask, but if more clubs did something along those lines, and
sent the extra $5 or so to HQ, how much would that help??? (It surely couldn't HURT!) I think it offest the Chapter filing
fee ($50??? I don't know what it was back then, and I haven't been a CCC member in over 10 years...).
>Oh, a new membership chair is being sought. maybe two. Needs to be
energetic, willing to work with multiple personalities <the general public
as well as the board> Pay is terrible (no pay) Contact president Jamie
Reinhart.
'm wondering who on the BoD has "mulitple personalities"... te he he...
Think positive to get positive results. <if you think you are losing, you
have already lost>
I agree... there have been times when things look bad, then I think of Eric Idle singing "Always Look on the
Bright Side of Life"...
most of you twisted types know the movie.
;-)
Have fun -- enjoy your Corvairs -- and the great people that are associated
with them. <<SNIP>>
I've been doing that for 19 years, Tim... no reason to stop now. Have fun on the Rt 66!
