Techron is a fuel additive/injector cleaner  - I have used it as  a fuel 
injector cleaner on other than Corvairs. I believe it works. I am too  cheap 
to buy Chevron gas (which has a similar additive) all the time. I  don't 
think the type of oil you are using matters - for this product.
