<VV> FAVORITE "SNAKE OILS" FOR OUR CORVAIRS

What are some of the additives that are being used in our favorite cars? I ran across a "Lead substitute" awhile back to put into the gas tank.I have used it off and on for awhile but now can no longer find it. I have also used an "Octane booster" but could see no change. I use a "gas line antifreeze" but again am not sure why. Every oil change I put in a small bottle of ZDDP. I have used "Techron" but again am not sure of any benefit. How about you guys?
