<VV> glide vs manual, was: now EM cable

I drove the "Silver Fox" Corvair powered race car a couple of times. Short  
wheelbase, 200 HP. The owner was about 5-6 inches shorter than I. I sort of 
 wedged myself into the cockpit. The throttle pedal was like the control  
settings on a washing machine - Off - On - Spin!
