I am tired of reading this crap.  If your cable is too short, put a coupler
nut and a piece of threaded rod on the end.
If you can't find a coupler nut, thread three nuts finger tight on a screw
and weld them together.
If you don't have the ability or equipment to do this, sell the car and buy
a new one with a warranty!
