Um, OK, but I want to be sure that's the problem before I change it and send it back, just to get another identical cable, and back to square one ?

Besides, it is a brand new cable from Clark's, so why would it be to short ?  That is the question.

Is an EM cable shorter than the LM cable and Clark's sent me the wrong (EM) cable ? 

(Clark's didn't provide the nuts (35 cents), and then they specified the wrong size for them when I asked, so anything's possible ... ?)
