<VV> 1968 smog head

Hi everybody,
Well the results are in and guess what........
 
Three people say that the smog head does have a small flat spot that serves 
 as a squish area
 
AND 
 
three others say that the smog heads all have no such squish area and  look 
just like the 1964-66 turbo open chamber  heads.
 
So where do we go from here? Or are there two designs?
 
 
Does anybody know for sure?
