<VV> power top MY thoughts

i have had both on a 64 spyder. the power top is nice to talk about , but  
in fact i am sure it shortens the life of a top , unless you just do it in 
many  steps, getting out and carefully watching the folds as it lowers (just 
bumping  the button), just as you do when it is a manual.
so i found it just as easy to put it down manually. oh i forgot , a power  
top has a bonus: it can pee from a leaky cylinder without warning , and make 
a  permanent mess of the corner of your back seat.

so if you do go that route , you should get the cylinders rebuilt with  
fresh seals?. mine looked just fine , but blew in a short time.
