It is with a bit of sadness that I inform that 1 more of the 521 1969
Monza Convertible's, #4413, is heading to the great resting (or rusting) place
in the sky. A victim of Minnesota winters and copious amounts of salt,
this base Maroon convertible with a 95/3 speed is off to the crusher. I tried
to give the vehicle away to a few folks a couple years ago while I was
living in Texas and couldn't get to it in Iowa, but no one took me up on it.
Now that I am back in the Midwest, the place I had it stored no longer has
room and it is going away. I went down last weekend and took off a few
parts before it began it's final trip.

I did save the vin plate, so I have that and the original Minnesota title.
The seats, seat belts, and steering wheel went a while ago. The engine
was complete, but I didn't have a way to pull it (the car was buckling in
the center and wouldn't roll) so it is being recycled. I did pull the carbs
if anyone has any use for them.

I was able to save a few chrome trim pieces that were good, such as a
couple tail lights, headlight trim rings, windshield and convertible boot snap
trim, and the wing windows that had good chrome, for use in my 65 Corsa
convertible, as they were better than what were on that car.

I did save the following and have them for sale if anyone is interested:

95 hp carburetors
Voltage Regulator
AM Radio Cover Plate
69 Power Top Frame, motor, cables and switch (the only real option I saw on
the car other than a rear antenna)

If anyone is interested in a few parts, let me know. I'm not sure who is
keeping up with the 69 Registry, but I thought I would at least report this
rare vehicles demise for posterity.
