This weekend Good Guys is hosting their annual vintage drag  racing event 
at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, KY (near the Corvette plant  and 
museum). Yesterday a number of Corvair enthusiast, myself  included, from Derby 
City Corvair in Louisville and Central Kentucky  Corvairs in Lexington 
attended to observe the races and to cheer on the three  participating Corvairs 
from the Atlanta, GA area. The weather this weekend is  perfect and the crowd 
is huge. Seeing the old vintage race cars screaming down  the track brings 
back memories from the 60's. It's like stepping back in  time.
 
Billy Bruce is there in his black early coupe along with Raymond Paul  in 
his late convertible and Ken Arnold in his Buick powered coupe. All three  
indicated that it's a fun event and another opportunity to show the racing 
world  that Corvairs are still out there competing. Good luck to Billy, Ray and 
Ken.  Maybe we can increase participation at next year's event.
