The numbers are in!!!
For fifty years fourteen zillion Corvair pistons have been inserted in
fourteen zillion Corvair cylinders by zillions of skilled and amateur
Corvair mechanics using various styles of ring compressors. In all those
years no problems have been encountered even by first time newbies ---
until now.
One amateur seems determined to spend lots and lots of hours trying to grind
out the bottom of six Corvair cylinders to accomplish what zillions of other
Corvair folk have done with a nickel-dime tool in no time at all. Those who
follow these threads on VV know it is his nature. Rube Goldberg would be
proud. Please post pictures of the cylinder grinding operation. :-)
