<VV> Clutch Cable Chapter 2

If the clutch felt fine, was adjusted fine just before the clutch cable
snapped, then DON'T look at the clutch as being bad. What?, you fried it
while the cable was broken? Not very likely! Nothing changed inside the
belhousing unless there was a massive failure that resulted in breaking the
clutch cable. Being a late I assume just the ball broke off the end.

I don't even see where the rod adjustment should have changed to the point
of needing to be readjusted. Unless a previous owner shortened the cable
that broke....

Recheck the installation.

Subject: <VV> Clutch Cable Chapter 2

Yesterday I reported the necessity to replace the clutch cable. Well that
is done and now I have very little pedal. By that I mean it is necessary to
put it all the way to the floor to shift. The mechanic who did the work
says there is no remaining adjustment. I am thinking that that means it is
near time for a clutch. Not my favorite repair. Does anyone have a remedy
other than clutch replacement?
