Hi Tom,
You are absolutely correct. I took that right off of the VV library site and
even mess up what they had which is partially wrong too. What the VV Library
page has is "National Highway Transport Safety Administration".
Now besides correcting the situation..do you own one of the letters???
Thanks!

Carlton:
Sorry to be picky, but the correct name of that federal agency is National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Hi Corvair Fans,
I am going to ask this again since I only received one comment last time.
Does anyone still have an original letter that sent to all Corvair owners
back in August of 1972. This letter sent by the National Highway Transport
Safety Association (NHTSA) and was stating the positive findings of the
tests that were conducted then which basically exonerated the Corvair from
the Nader accusations.
Copies of the two reports are readily available from the National technical
Information Service (NTIS) website and one can even purchase and down load
the reports, but they are a bit costly for a simple download. Basically both
cost $93.00 to download. If you were wanting hard copies that would not be
so bad as on report is 34 pages and the other 140 pages.
However, I am more interested in seeing the text of the actual letter sent
to Corvair owners said and that is not part of the reports as far as I can
tell.
Thanks!
