My gal pal always carries the following in a big  e-bag, regardless of 
vehicle.::
( oh, cell phone& car charger ) ;  miniature floor jack ; breaker 
bar/sockets  type lug nut wrench;  real "rubber "fuel line, wire ties, 
windup hose clamps , very few wrenches and screwdrivers.

Also, and most used ::  one of those puff puff 12 volt tire inflators with a 
light ..... if a slow leak is the problem, she pumps the tire up and usually 
can get home, or at least to a fixit shop.  Pay at least $50 for a decent 
one, and then figure on a lifespan of maybe 4 pump-ups; these are shiny 
junk.    Advize to fix up special wiring and clips to go direct to battery, 
not ciggy lighter.
