The top picture is of a GM/Delphi lifter. Only GM/Delphi uses the
chilled iron lifter foot spun welded to the steel body. The parting
line on the lifter is the dead giveaway. They are still available from GM.

Yes, you can still buy lifters that fit your Corvair from GM.(PN 5232720
each, or PN 12371044 for 16). They are unique as foot and the body are
made from dissimilar material; thus, there is a distinct parting line or
