The are some parts that one does not expect to have to maintain on a 
daily basis to ensure continued functionality, but yes, that approach 
probably will ensure success, as long as you aren't trying to tighten 
that junction every time you check it. 

Should have been in the owners manual right next to checking oil -- 
"Check this junction for HRPT failure" -- probably wouldn't be a bad 
habit to get into if you've got a Late ...
