<VV> CONCOURS CLASSES

Its been a few years since I was involved in concours activities. I do 
recall that my vair was 'bumped' up from stock to 'modified' because I had 
put one of those self adhesive bump strips down the side of the car. At that 
time, the modified class coverd a multitude of 'sins', as it were. Does it 
still ??
So, whats the difference now between modified and improved ?? And if we have 
a modfied claass, why do we need an improved class ??
All mods might not be considered improvements, but all improvements would be 
mods, right ??
