Well I think every thing has been covered over and over again. One thing I
know is your never going to force anyone to join a local club or CORSA. To
gain new members we have to have an attraction. The have to want to join.
With the income CORSA has and not being able to attract new members the
problem is we have a wonderful magazine that we cannot afford. Also we have ins
that cost a lot to carry. Offering those 2 things does not seem to be
enough of an attraction to prospective members. Without a doubt the Magazine
has to either be sent out less often or find a cheaper way to produce it.
What is the biggest thing that new members join local clubs? I think it's to
get help and assistance working on their Corvairs. Our small club has gained
quite a few members because we have a Corvair Cavalry that helps work and
fix members cars. Maybe the Magazine should focus more on Tech articles
that people want instead of show cars that most could never afford. In order
to save CORSA they have to gain membership which isn't working or cut
expenses and downsize. Sending the Magazine out electronically is a great idea
but with the average of members I think it would be a hard sell. Heck some
still don't have a cell phone. I don't have all the answers but I do have an
opinion, and this is my opinion.
