Right ! Corvair buyers wanted something different, and wanted to 'dress it
up' which made GM realize they could sell options to people who wanted them.
It took a couple of years for them to realize that small didn't mean "cheap"
!
The 1960 Monza started proving the theory that small cars could be
profitable (which was the only incentive they needed), and "along came a
Spyder" (as Miss Muffet's story goes) the rest is history ...
