Hi everyone,

 

a) The Membership Poll 

I am not certain if my comment is needed as an International Member, but if it is then I would fall into the 50% of CORSA members who don't belong to a Chapter. There are no CORSA Chapters in Australia but I have at times wondered if one should be established even it was only small in member numbers.

 

I do enjoy receiving and reading the Communique in hard copy form but that said I would remain a CORSA member, even if I was forced to receive the Communique in electronic form. 

 

As an International member the primary benefit of CORSA for me is the Communique, but there are of course many other benefits and I do value my membership of CORSA probably more than the other 4 car clubs that I belong to. CORSA is a simply outstanding organisation and one I want to support to the fullest extent possible.

 

I hope this reply helps with Jamie's membership poll.

 

b) "Stock as it is"

I understand that some years back a series of articles appeared in the Communique over a number of issues that was titled something like "Stock as it is". I may have this title incorrect but I believe it was something like that.

 

As a comparatively new member of CORSA I missed seeing these articles and would very much enjoy reading them. With this in mind I do at wonder if say after 5 or 10 years there could sound reasons repeat certain articles.

 

Some of you know that I wrote an article on the conversion to right hand drive of our 65' Monza convertible. In my view this article could be repeated again in say 8-10 years time and I expect there will be a lot of articles that could also be repeated.

 

I appreciate that we need new material, but see no reason why repeating selected articles could not benefit newer members like myself.

 

Original cars appeal to me, which is probably strange given that I elected to convert our Corvair to right hand drive.

 

Would really like to read those "Stock as it is" articles at some point.
