VVers:

I enjoyed the recent thread on Corvair telescoping steering columns.
There was a lot of good discussion concerning what they're worth and how
and where they should be deployed.

Two recently completed column auctions on eBay tell us what a tele
column is NOT worth:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220564318738

In each case, the asking price of $1,000 was not met. Apparently, not
even the Corvette guys buy in at that price.

(I'm still kicking myself for not taking a '66 column someone offered me
for $250 in 2003 or so.)

a Corvair" Serenska

'65 Monza Convertible, 110/4
'66 Corsa Coupe, 140/4, with:
    => factory headrest seats (not JC Whitney add-ons)
    => factory a/c (not a transplant)
    => factory am/fm (not a motorola)
    => factory quick steering box (not a Flaming River unit)
    => factory quick steering arms (not Clark's)
    => but no telescoping column ... (particularly not for $1,000!)
