No, you're not a wimp. Upholstery work has to be perfect, or it looks like 
hell.
I know when to farm out work, and upholstery is one of them.

I draw the line at upholstery.  The shop told me I could save $200 if
I stripped the old upholstery off and painted the frames.  Easy!
Shoot, once I've done that, I may as well finish the job!

That was the most disgusting, hand slashing, lung clogging mess I have
ever dealt with.  Needless to say, I had my Clark's seat upholstery
"professionally" installed.  It looks great and my hands have healed
and I've stopped coughing.

I know, I'm a wimp ;^)
