Peter,
I solved the problem that you describe in the following manner. First the
three prong oil pressure switch to provide power to the pump only when the
engine is running. In order to fill the carbs before oil pressure, I wired
the pressure switch to activate a normal SPDT 12V Bosch automotive relay. I
wired 12V from the starter solenoid through the normally closed contact so
that the pump will run as soon as the engine cranks. The normally open
contact gets 12V from the ignition switch. No need for a manual prime
button as others have done. One more safety item, an impact switch in
series with the pump feed to shut off the pump in case of an impact (crash).

Subject: Electric fuel pump
I`m thinking of changing over to an electric fuel pump in our 65 110 Monza.
Parts store has two choices to choose from in regulated pumps, one range is
2-4 lbs. and the next has a range of 4-7 lbs. Which pump pressure is more
suited for the Corvair fuel requirements?
Also I cant figure out where to search to find out correct wireing,
possibly using the Vega three prong pressure switch. Can anyone help me out
on this subject? Also stumped on what pressures up fuel before oil press get
up as in long periods when you dont run your car.
Thank Pete Inman
65 110 Monza
E Jordan Mi.
