<VV> Media coverage

Hi John,

Don't know what time you went to the Suds on Saturday the 19th. Corvairs
were certainly there from 4:00pm on until they all went back to the various
hotels. Sunday we all lined up on the access road to the hotels at 8:00am
and left fairly promptly for Cedar Rapids. All of this timing was as planned
and went well. The party at Skillman's museum was a blast!

Coverage of the Caravan party and at the Suds was cover well by Corvairwild
(Andrew Golt) on YouTube. Andrew arrived to the party at Skillman's just in
time to video us leaving for the Suds. He later made 5 videos of the cars at
the Suds that night, including the corvairs.

I guess I should also apolagize for this also. I know you guys don't
know me, but I am a automotive freelance journalist who is also a avid
corvair owner. I had every intention of attending the convention while
on my two month road trip in my companys 64 van. I tried to meet up
with the group traveling from Indy on two different occasions I went
to the suds cruise night and there where no vairs there and I tried to
meet up with them at one of the hotels Sunday am but again no vairs to
be found. As I was getting ready to leave a show in Indy that evening
for Iowa one of my editors asked me if I could go to louisville ky and
shoot some HotRods for there publication so that's why I didn't make
the event. I had planned on submitting the images to a couple of the
editors who are publishing my roadtrip to show how active the corvair
owners still are. Again I apolagize for not making the convention, and
would also like to thank Richard gebphardt in Nashville Tn for all the
help in changing out the rr axle. So far I have been over 3500 miles
since June 6th and plan to stay on the road till august sometime. So
if there are any other good vair events going on please feel free to
share them.
