I'd check timing and compression first and of course that both carbs are attached to the cross shaft. Try a different coil if you have an extra.This costs nothing.

I got home from convention OK.  Having a starter issue ring gear?) but my smooth running engine ain't any more/  I got 14 to 17 mph all through the convention trip. Got home and  it won't idle and won't accelerate.  Fuel pump??? Tell me where to start.  Thanks
