I had a riot for my first Autocross. I got lost on the 180 turn the first
run, then spun out at the finish but my reason was simple. I had no idea
of what I was doing LOL But it was sure fun!! LOL

All: Seth drove his own Corvair powered Corvair at Ventura. It was a work
in progress then, and I don't remember how he did. I think there's been a
couple times when he did not beat the car's owner. Curiously, I think it
was when the borrowed car was in one of the slower classes.
A couple of the competition cars went off at the first corner. The
transition from the outer oval to the inner got them on their first run.
After that, they adjusted.
Just about all the spinning was done by folks as the tried to get slowed
down after going thru the timing lights. It looked to me like it was a bit
of showboating for the crowd. Which really enjoyed it.

James

JR and Matt -
I can confirm at least 1 car was in the grass. On my 4th lap, I spun
right
before the finish, and ended up going backwards into the grass....have the
mud/grass on my quarter panels to confirm.
This was in IS-2 - I didnt get to stay for any of the other racing due to
duties at the hotel.

Seth Emerson drove it like he borrowed it. Wait, he DID! Wouldn't be the
first time the autocross was won with a borrowed car.
