<VV> Brake Drums on 63 Conv.

On my 63 Conv. the backing plates do not have the hole in the bottom  to 
adjust the brakes. They are self adjusting. Or these original. Also two of  
the brake drums have a adjusting hole. Which of the brake drums or the correct

So Seth answers:
Richard, by 1963 all Corvair cars had self adjusters. These had no  
adjusting slot, either in the backing plate or the drum. Most of the drums from  
then on, however, had a partially displaced stamping that could be knocked  
out to allow manual adjusting via a brake "spoon". "Correct" ones? Well, if 
you  want them to appear as original, the non-punched variety is what you 
seek.  If you want access to be able to manually adjust your brakes, the ones 
with  the slots will serve you best.
