<VV> MGB knockoff wire wheels possible to adapt to EM corvair?

 I'd like to give a vair to my dad as soon as I can swing it (wont be easy).
 He'd love it about 100 times more if it had real wire wheels.  I hate to
 admit it but I think wire wheels can be sharp on earlies....  as long as
 they are offset a bit more than stock.

 Man I guess I am getting old....   turning 30 last month was disturbing 
enough... but last year
 I started to like the styling of early cars (which I considered "grandpa"
 looking the first 8 years I was into vairs'.... and now wire wheels!!! 
Now I even own an early!
 What is happening to me!?
