<VV> PG to 4spd conversion?

Ray - It isn't difficult - on the lates. But the best way is to have the
donor 4-speed car sitting next to the ex-PG car during the changeover. There
are a ton of little things that have to be moved over. (Think clutch
linkage/cabling and all the shifter stuff.) If you have the donor car there, you
will have fewer of the Homer Simpson DOH! moments. For the best complete
conversion, you should buy some new parts ahead. Have the shifter all set -
with new front and rear tube bushings and a coupler in good shape. Check the
condition of the clutch cable. Check especially the tip that is pulled by
the clutch arm. You will have to pull the front rug, both to access the
location for the clutch cable/pulleys and to add a hole for the shifter. The
pedal assembly will be changed out - In theory, you could swap only what you
need, but removal of the assembly is easier. If you elect not to change
out the dash wiring - a real pain - you will have to compensate/jumper for
the neutral safety switch or the car won't start! A friend and I parked two
cars next to each other in a wide driveway and - over a weekend - turned one
PG car into a Stick, and the other Stick car into a PG. A pretty rare car,
a Corsa Convertible with a PG. This was more than 30 years ago - so no
complaints, folks!

How easy or difficult a conversion is this on late and early cars? Is it
a 100% bolt-on procedure?
